It is essential we be up front about the services we will not be providing them. Without clear communication the broker and clients expectations are often very different.”

Ausure’s Founding Director Wayne Brown is also Area Manager for Victoria and ACT.

Wayne started Ausure Insurance and Finance in 1996, and together with his wife Katrina and colleagues, has built the business to be the success it is today. Wayne says, “Ausure commenced in 1996 and, after receiving our upgraded license in 2003 with three branches, we had to battle for agencies and I believe it was only persistence and my previous dealings with some senior managers in the industry that allowed us the break we needed. We now have more than 90 branches, all of whom I am extremely proud to be associated with.
The Ausure Board now consists of myself, Troy Brown and Richard Enthoven. Troy and Richard are without doubt two of the most talented insurance professionals in Australia. I have the utmost confidence Ausure is positioned to not only continue our progression toward No 1 but to be the undisputed leader of the AR space in Australia.
When Ausure started, the industry looked upon ARs as agents who were unprofessional small brokers. However, with the quality of our network and the procedures we have implemented, this has changed. We have received numerous awards but without doubt the most pleasing aspect of our achievements is the fact that, through the professionalism and credibility of our people, we have changed the thinking of professionals in our industry including insurers.”
Wayne handed control of the Ausure Group over to his son Troy Brown in 2009. Wayne currently focuses on managing relationships with the Ausure offices and insurers. His overarching aim is to ensure Ausure maintains respect with insurers and clients and to ensure Ausure’s Authorised Representatives have what they need to succeed. “This means supporting branches, whether helping them overcome any hurdles, or alternatively working with insurers to obtain better facilities.”
