Ausure Insurance Brokers Echuca has won three national awards at the prestigious Ausure Insurance Brokers Awards Gala. The event was held at the Sydney Hilton recently and attended by more than 200 insurance professionals from across Australia.
Ausure Echuca’s Founding Director Tim Dale received the Ausure Community Services Award sponsored by Hunter Premium Funding. This award recognises an individual who goes beyond the call of duty and helps their local community in assisting with fundraising, volunteering their time and providing aid to a cause or an organisation.
Over the past eight years Tim Dale has assisted the Horizon Committee to raise funds for breast and prostate cancer by holding the Murray Meander. The Horizon Committee, of which Tim is an inaugural member and currently Vice President, has raised an incredible $400,000 since inception.
The Murray Meander is a tinny river trip starting at Walwa and finishing at Goolwa SA. It covers a distance of 2000kms and the adventure takes some three years to complete, with participants tackling one week stints per year. The Murray Meander began with 12 tinnies and has grown to 40 tinnies taking part this year.
Ausure Echuca Co-Director Lindsay Rankin was selected from hundreds of insurance brokers Australia-wide to receive Ausure Group Chairman’s Award. This award, presented by Ausure Founding Director Wayne Brown and sponsored by MECON, recognises an individual who contributes to the success and promotion of the Ausure Group beyond the duties and responsibilities of being an Authorised Representative.
Ausure Group Chairman Wayne Brown commented, “Lindsay Rankin is a highly respected insurance professional who joined Tim Dale at Ausure Echuca in 2006. Lindsay is honest, knowledgeable and willing to assist the new generation of insurance personnel to achieve their goals and aspirations.
The award is recognition of the support Lindsay Rankin has afforded our company and, in particular, myself and Ausure Group’s Managing Director Troy Brown. Lindsay is the Chairman of All State Underwriting and has been a member of the Ausure Strategic Development Committee. The Ausure Board acknowledges the contribution of Lindsay’s time and expertise, on a daily basis, for the benefit of all of our 105 Ausure branches.
The professionalism of Ausure was indeed enhanced when Lindsay joined the group. He has helped us continue to maintain the status of the Ausure Group as one of the most respected and innovative authorised representative networks in the Australian industry.”
The third award scooped up by Tim and Lindsay at the events evening, was the Ausure Largest Branch Award. This award, sponsored by the Calliden Group, goes to the Ausure branch with the highest earnings as at 31 March 2010. Considering that Ausure has 105 branches across Australia, including many in capital cities, this is a significant achievement.
